Thelma Louise Tapp

Thelma Louise (Ludie) Tapp, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025, at 75. She was born to Jack and Pearl Blevins and was raised in a home filled with love and faith. On July 21, 1974, she married the love of her life, Donald Tapp, and together they built a beautiful life, celebrating 50 years of marriage. Their love and devotion were the foundation of a family that brought her immense joy. She was a devoted homemaker and co-owner of Don Tapp Trucking, working alongside her husband with dedication and care. She was a woman of Baptist faith, attending Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where she found comfort and strength in her relationship with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack, and Pearl Blevins; three brothers, William Gartrell, Evert Gartrell, and Billy Blevins; and two sisters, Edith Pearson and Ruby Raney. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, survived by her devoted husband, Donald Tapp; two cherished daughters, Linda Durham Johnson and Brandi Hager (Jason); four beloved grandchildren, Colten Johnson (Jennifer), Zachery Johnson (Samantha), Mercedes Lawson (Billy), and Destiny Shoe (Hailey); and two precious great-grandsons, Elliot Lawson, Emerson Lawson, and Jeremiah Johnson. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Fowler; her brother, Sam Blevins (Carmella); and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close. Funeral Service will be Sunday, February 9, 2025, at 2:30 P.M. in the Bryan Chapel in Hoxie with Bro. John Durham officiating. Pallbearers include Colten Johnson, Zachery Johnson, Billy Lawson, Brad Nunnally, Clint Nunnally, Susan Hoffmeister. Interment will follow in the Powhatan Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers include Jason Hager, Brandon Harris, Teddy Blevins, Rick Raney, Anthony Fowler, Scott Bradley, Raymond Bradley, Jamie Nunnally, Levi Harris, Elliot Lawson, Jeremiah Johnson, Emerson Lawson, Doug Tapp, Jeff Tapp, Donna Toumajan, Carla Miller, Jodi Lee Blackford. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Flowers are welcome, and memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church in her honor. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her love and light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who knew her. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:30 P.M. till 2:30 P.M. in the Bryan Chapel in Hoxie.
